Psycho, The Silence of the Lambs, and the Trans Serial Killer Trope

We examine and unpack the trope of the "trans serial killer," and how it's built on a history of sensationalism and lies. We talk about the way this trope appears in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and The Silence of the Lambs, but instead of just calling them offensive and problematic and dismissing them altogether, like many do, we explore their value as genderweird media from history that are worth studying.
