"Intentions, Goals & the Ego" w/ Olivia Finley
On today’s episode I get to enjoy a bit of family time, I’m joined by my cousin Olivia Finley and she discusses the act of change. Everyone reaches a point where we feel pressure from ourselves and our environment to make adjustments and changes, not only to our world, but within ourselves. Olivia talks about the application of intentions, goals, and controlling ego.
Olivia personally defines each of these and their role in helping her to focus herself. When she focuses on her intentions they don’t just go out onto the wind never to be heard again, no, they are her compass. These personal, life changing intentions lead to goals that define her life and its meaning. Being guided along the way, another character building process is occurring, the ego becomes less controlling of her life. This is true for all of us, it’s a condition that all humans must contend with and keep in check. An archaic form of survival when danger lurked around every corner.
If you’ve ever faced a moment in your life where you knew you had to change, but the comfort and familiarity stopped you…that’s your ego keeping you safe. Olivia reminds us to be courageous, question things often and thoughtfully, and take action in our lives. It’s up to us to make the changes we each need to live a happy and fulfilling life.
We’ll hear from Olivia again, I’m excited to hear and see what a more organic, trusting, and full life she manifests.
Till next episode, everyone stay safe, be blessed and share the podcast.___________________________________________To become a guest on the podcast, email "Wandering Vibes Guest" to slowflowstudio@gmail.com.
