Real Time LTV → Tobi Konitzer
On today’s episode, I had a chat with Tobias Konitzer, co-founder of Ocurate; we really dove into what his company's tool is all about. Ocurate has come up with something they call Real-Time Lifetime Value (RLTV), which serves as a central yardstick to measure the results of A-B tests. What's really cool about RLTV is that it speeds up the whole experiment process, lets you compare different tests, and shows you the impact on your revenue practically as it happens. Tobias was clear that this tool is perfect for businesses ready to put some money behind customer acquisition and have a real interest in experimentation. He mentioned that you don't have to be as far along in your experimentation journey as, say, Facebook. But a culture that embraces experimentation is key. One question I was keen on asking Tobias was about how Oculus works with third-party platforms like VWO, which offers split testing and conversion rate optimization. Tobias flipped it around on me, explaining that it's actually Oculus that logs the data on individual treatment assignments when you run your experiments. Then, you can analyze this data on the Oncuret platform. This means there's no fuss about pushing data into other platforms, which can be a real headache. So, to wrap up, Oculus brings a lot to the table with its central metric, RLTV, for evaluating A-B tests and understanding how they're affecting your revenue. This is game-changing for companies with a spirit of experimentation and an investment in acquiring new customers. ---
