Revelation 19 - You can only mean God when you say Almighty!
“Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Revelation 19:6<br/><br/>Instead of looking at the great battle waged here in chapter 19, lets think about God Almighty. Let's think about how God's plan is coming to fruition and He is in control because He's Almighty God. The Beast and false prophet are captured and imprisoned while all those who opposed God and murdered His people are wiped out, but why is this even possible? Because as Tozer says, <br/>"Almighty, means exactly the same thing as omnipotent, only it is from the Anglo-Saxon, while omnipotent is from the Latin. In the Bible, the word Almighty is used fifty-six times and is never used about anyone else but God. In our English Bible the word omnipotent is only used once and it refers to God. And there’s a reason for this. Almighty means “having an infinite and absolute plenitude of power.” When you use the words infinite and absolute you can only be talking about one person—God." <br/><br/>At times I forget I'm serving God Almighty, the one who has infinite and absolute power. When I remember that, my problems and concerns seem as nothing. Join me in reading Revelation 19 and be encouraged! Just a Guy and His World
