S02 E48 Whistling is for Psychopaths A Music Junkies Podcast with GRRRL Music

A couple of hot 30-something-year-olds, Kelsey and Ashley, are my guests in this episode.  Hosts of the GRRRLMUSIC Podcast, are definitely Music Junkies.<br/><br/>Kelsey and Ashley spent 10 to 15 minutes finding a song that they have a hilarious time with.   They wanted to add it to their playlist.   They did finally find it.  NOT FOR ME by BACK STREET BOYS.  Who has heard that one??<br/><br/>Best friends since kindergarten mean they share a lot when it comes to music.<br/><br/>Kelsey says SPICE GIRLS was her first album.  She adored the women's friendship in the group.  She says that she looked up to powerful women and the SPICE GIRLS were just that.  Which one does Kelsey most resemble?  BABY SPICE.  Ashley is more SPORTY SPICE.<br/><br/>INXS was the first concert they went to together.  Listen to hear the fun stories they share about that experience.  Who did they like best?<br/><br/>Kelsey absolutely loves LCD SOUNDSYSTEM.  Ashley wasn't a fan, however, they went to a concert together in LA and both had a great time.  They said they put on a great show.<br/><br/>NEW YORK, NEW YORK was Ashley's Dad's favorite song that he sang at every karaoke.  A hilarious story of how special it was, including the cruise ship story.  Ashley's favorite song was INDEPENDENT WOMAN.<br/><br/>Kelsey, although she loves music, hates to dance.  Ashley has tried to convince her but with no success.<br/><br/>We also discussed lyrics.  Singing something without really knowing what they mean.  Like, POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME.  And singing words that are wrong.  Like instead of "GET YOUR SEXY ON"  thinking it is "WHO'S YOUR SEXY HOE". :)<br/><br/>Pet peeves?  Both agree with people who whistle.  They think it's psychotic.  They also don't like people who talk during a concert.  And Kelsey thinks the BEE GEES were cool and the type of people she would be like if she was in a band.<br/><br/>Ashley was asked if Kelsey watched porn.  Ashley said no, but Kelsey admitted to doing so and she said pink.  Nothing too harsh.  And both of them thought tennis balls are fuzzy because of the bounce?  They will now have to Google that.<br/><br/>Words of wisdom "Shoot your shot".  Stop being afraid of failing and succeeding.  Ask for what you want.  It's okay to be uncomfortable.  Believe in yourself.<br/><br/>There is so much fun in this episode with these two lovely ladies.  Make sure you listen all the way through.  So much energy.<br/><br/>The two do Social Media on so many levels in the music world.  Buffs and Bangers they say they like best.  They continue to be besties in working in the music world.  It's not only big names.  Smaller up-and-coming, primarily women, are what they are looking to shine the light on.<br/><br/>Find them at grrrlmusic<br/>Watch the full episode on YouTube<br/><br/>Check out the Playlist on Spotify<br/><br/>Follow us Everywhere<br/><br/>Make sure to HIT that LIKE BUTTON and SUBSCRIBE to our Channel to be notified of new episodes!<br/><br/> Please share our page with your friends! New EP is out every MONDAY at 12 pm Rock on! Music JunkiesSupport the show
