S1E7 “Indian troops marching to chasten the German hooligans…” Subedar Manta Singh, 15th Sikhs

Early in the Battle of Neuve Chapelle, Lieutenant George Henderson of the 15th Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army was badly wounded. His colleague, Subedar Manta Singh, rescued Henderson, and so began the story of a friendship that would span two world wars, two continents and three generations.
