In today's podcast episode, we will discuss the issue of creating an integrated literacy block. This episode starts with a trip down memory lane of my early childhood experiences, but the episode is for all grades of primary school. So, upper primary folks stick with me. This episode is for you, too. As part of my daily work, I speak with schools that are looking for some support to build on the great work they are already doing, and a very common goal is to have an integrated literacy block. Before we get into what an integrated literacy block might look like, we need to have a chat about the word integration and what it means to our teaching practice.

We are currently offering live workshops for upper primary teachers who want to make the shift to structured literacy. In this workshop, we will equip you with knowledge about language and instructional routines to use in your classroom right away. Our workshop will be in Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, and Burnie. Places are limited, so book your tickets today.

Quick Links
Jocelyn Seamer Education Homepage
The Resource Room
The Evergreen Teacher
Shop
Youtube channel
Facebook Page

#jocelynseamereducation #literacy #bestpractice #earlyprimaryyears #primaryschool #primaryschools #primaryschoolteacher #earlyyearseducation #earlyyearseducator #structuredliteracy #scienceofreading #classroom #learning #learningisfun #studentsuccess #studentsupport #teacherlife #theresourceroom #theevergreenteacher #upperprimary #upperprimaryteacher #thestructuredliteracypodcast #phoneme #grapheme #phonics #syntheticphonics
