San Francisco Senator wants to make sure CA stays ahead of the AI curve

A State Senator from San Francisco is pushing for a bill to create a state agency, to analyze how AI is developed. One of the key goals of the bill is to make sure AI doesn't harm Californians.  This comes just one week after Governor Newsom signed an executive order on  AI that would look at the risks and potential benefits of using the fairly new technology.  For a closer look, KCBS Radio's Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising spoke with State Senator Scott Wiener of San Francisco, who introduced the legislation.
