Some statistical terms and book assumptions

Some statistical terms are defined, and I bring up some possible assumptions that the reader or listener will encounter during this book or podcast. Here, I will try to include people of various backgrounds and current life conditions; but it I cannot be all inclusive all the time. In most cases, I assume the reader to live in reasonable social, political, and economic freedom.
