Vol. 73 - The Hollywood Writer & Actor Strikes

Every movie, tv show, cartoon, snl sketch, etc that you've ever quoted has been written by a writer or improvised by an actor. Our most favorite scenes, stories, and performances have been given to us by writers and actors. Right now, with streaming and a huge shift to AI, a lot of proper compensation is falling to the wayside. Hollywood wants to scan actors and use their likeness however, and whenever they please so they can save money on paying the actual actor.
Yes there is a lot of "boohoo the rich wanna get paid more money," going around right now. But as we're finding out, even some actors and writers in hit shows and movies are still struggling financially, ie: the writer for the hit show "The Bear" only made $20,000, and while that is a nice pay, if that is your only gig for the year then you are making less than most full time minimum wage employees.
Regardless of what you think about the famous, people still deserve to be compensated fairly for their work.
