What's In Your Bag? Ep. 24 - John Roberson
John Roberson played for the legendary Bob Knight in college... that should tell you everything you need to know about his mental fortitude when it comes to the game of basketball. We caught up with Roberson, who describes himself as "one of the best shooters in the world" to discuss his journey through the pros, which has taken him all around the world, to three different continents, dealing with getting cut, and yet, continuing to stay committed to the grind! We discuss his matchup with NBA superstar Luka Doncic while playing for Bosnia-Herzegovina, and what it was like playing alongside Jusuf Nurkic as teammates when they defeated Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier and the eventual olympic silver medalist France team during international competition. We also dive into the struggles of maintaining a relationship with God while playing overseas, the struggle to date and find a partner, and advice in how to deal with getting cut early on in your career. This was truly one of the most well rounded conversations we've ever had on this platform, and if you've been following the show, you know that's saying a lot! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the conversation, and don't forget to like and subscribe!
