What Does the Bible Say About the Prophecies About Jesus?

Arnie and Fred begin this episode by looking at the prophecy concerning Jesus' virgin birth which was recorded by Isaiah and the specifics there. Matthew refers to this prophecy and we look at what he says.  We then move to the first prophecy about Jesus which is found in Genesis. We note the promise that God gave to both Abraham and David. The time of Jesus birth was originally prophesied by Daniel during the rule of Cyrus. We talk about how specific Daniel was by looking at what he wrote. The place of Jesus birth was revealed originally by Micah. We discuss what he said as well as Luke's notice of it. The sad occasion of Herod killing all the infants in Bethlehem was prophesied by Jeremiah. We look at what he said and Matthew's record of what happened. Isaiah foretold of Jesus' ministry of teaching and preaching throughout Israel. We look at several places where Matthew records the fulfillment of what Isaiah wrote. David wrote of Jesus' crucifixion in specific terms. We read about that.
