Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran pastor who wrote the famous book: “The Cost of Discipleship,” also wrote this famous quote, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.” How popular is that quote in our day and age? What did Jesus really mean when He said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me”?
