Why Hybrid Work Is Here to Stay with Bruce Edlund
The world has not been the same since COVID first struck in 2020. Back then, many treasurers were adapting to remote work and acclimatising to the challenges of being out of the office. Now, many professionals have returned to the office, either completely or as part of a hybrid working pattern. In this episode of The Treasury Career Corner, we welcome back Bruce Edlund, now Group Director, Assistant Treasurer at Cloud Software Group. Bruce joined the show back in June 2020, whilst working at Citrix. He explained why he returned to the company, shared his thoughts on technology in treasury and provided tips for young treasurers. Now, Bruce returns with career updates and explains why he thinks hybrid work is here to stay. Bruce Edlund is Group Director, Assistant Treasurer at Cloud Software Group based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was previously Director of Treasury, Senior Director, Assistant Treasurer and Group Director, Assistant Treasurer at Citrix Systems, Inc. also in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He had been Senior Director of Treasury at Citrix in his first stint with the company between 2004 and 2010. He has over 20 years of treasury experience starting as Assistant Treasurer at DIRECTV Latin America and later becoming Director of Global Cash Management at Walmart Stores. His experience in companies of varied size in different industries has given Bruce a wealth of experience in treasury systems and different ways of tackling industry challenges. Prior to corporate treasury, Bruce worked for five years in investment banking in Latin America, primarily at Bank of America. He has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management where he maintains ties and has been a regular guest judge for their FORAD finance competition.
