Why did Jesus go to the cross?  So that you could die and go to heaven or so that you might live and bring heaven to earth.   When you become a believer in Jesus, you are born of the Spirit.  Your body is the habitation, the dwelling place, where the Holy Spirit takes up permanent residence.
