Workplace Violence V: Insider Threats in 2023

One of our biggest and most invisible risks come from Insider Threats. They range from individuals to culture faults that cause systemic damage.The expanded definition of the Joint Commission for workplace violence has created a NEW set of incidents that expand the incidents of workplace violence from insider threats:“An act or threat occurring at the workplace that can include any of the following: verbal, nonverbal, written, or physical aggression; threatening, intimidating, harassing, or humiliating words or actions; bullying; sabotage; sexual harassment; physical assaults; or other behaviors of concern involving staff, licensed practitioners, patients, or visitors.”
