Train Your Wandering Mind (re-run)
The brain is so dynamic. It is capable of volumes of information storage and creative thought. The brain machine would run on high gear all day every day if we let it. The problem is, if we allow that, it takes a toll on the body. Therefore, we must allow the brain to rest. This is why we meditate. Meditation, sitting in stillness sounds so blissful, and it is, but what no one tells you is you have to train your mind to meditate; you have to train your attention skills to keep coming back to your meditation practice. Today’s meditation practice will be two-fold. First, we will learn a fun and easy way to grab and hold the attention of your brain with a Bumble Bee Meditation. Then, we will do a fundamental breath awareness exercise that you can use every time your mind wanders. It’s a skill for life. You can thank me later. Let’s train your brain! It’s time to Hurry Up And Meditate!<br/>
