Paul tells us not to quench the Spirit, but that assumes that we know who and what the Spirit is. Before we can explore how to avoid quenching the Spirit, we need to evaluate what the Bible tells us about the Spirit. And so that is our focus for today as we begin this mini-series on 1 Thessalonians 5-19.
